After dropping Dad off at dialysis one Saturday we decided to explore the area around Cosham. There are a number of forts on the hill and so we decided to head to Fort Nelson. On the way we stopped and had a car picnic overlooking the view of Portsmouth. The seagulls know everyone goes up to the viewpoint and they usually have food. So they swarm the area. The fort itself was amazing. There are weapons through the ages on display and a lot still being restored. The History of the fort is interesting and they have restored areas of it to show how it was when inhabited by the military.
